Meet the Wellness Center Staff

Emily Stochel, MD

Dr. Emily Stochel is triple board certified in family, sports and lifestyle medicine and is an Assistant Clinical Professor for Marian University Osteopathic School of Medicine. She is a native of Zionsville and after four years in New Orleans at Tulane University, she came home to go to medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at St. Vincent, then spent an additional year in a sports medicine fellowship at St. Vincent Sports Performance.  

Outside of medicine, she loves to travel, exercise, read, and spend time with her husband and two sons.

Audrey Wehr, MD

Audrey Wehr, MD is a native of West Lafayette, IN and earned her medical degree from Indiana University in 2007.  Dr. Wehr is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians. She takes special interest in preventative care, obesity management, behavioral health and diabetes care management. Dr. Wehr strives to provide knowledge and compassionate care to her patients.

Outside of the office, Dr. Wehr enjoys spending time with her husband and her three boys. She looks forward to serving the employees and families of the Heritage Group.

Stephan Zentner, MD

Originally from the great state of North Dakota, Dr. Zentner received his medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine and completed a family medicine residency at St. Lawrence Hospital, Lansing, Michigan.  He is board certified in family medicine.

"Heritage has been my medical home since 2016.  I took a two year hiatus to help family on the East Coast and returned to the wellness center in November 2024. I am happy to be back and look forward to helping you improve your health and resuming our collaborations."

 

Margaret Spencer, Registered Dietitian

Margaret holds Bachelors degree in Home Economics/Dietetics from Berea College in Berea, KY.  As a Registered Dietitian with over 30 years of experience she has worked in many settings, including  cardiac rehab programs, cancer treatment centers, wellness programs and home nutrition support. Her areas of focus include weight management, health eating and lifestyle, wellness, nutritional assessment and cancer care-nutrition and prevention.

Coming from a family with a significant history of heart disease and unhealthy diets, she developed a great love of helping people make lifestyle changes to improve their health and quality of life, along with that of their loved ones. That is why she is excited to join the staff at the  Wellness Center.

Margaret has been a speaker for the American Heart Association and, along with other dietitians, created a "Dining out Guide" for Indianapolis and surrounding counties.

Amy Ficklin, LPN

Amy grew up in Indianapolis, graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with her LPN.  She has 15 years experience as a nurse in a variety of settings including long-term care, cardiology, urology and endocrinology to name a few.

Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, Jonathan, friends and family.  She enjoys traveling with her husband, working out and trying new restaurants around Indianapolis.

Zachary Litherland, MS, LCSW

Zachary holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN.  During his career as a Clinical Social Worker, Zachary has worked in a variety of settings with individuals, from medical and psychiatric hospital units to a more  private practice office. Zachary specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD disorders.

Zachary believes in promoting prevention and wellness before symptoms that significantly disrupt a person's life, if possible.  That is to say, "You don't need to be severely depressed to come see me."  In his free time, Zachary enjoys spending time with his dogs and staying in contact with friends and family."  

Christy Rice, Medical Assistant

Christy has 38 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.  She was taught on the job at the St Vincent's Clinic in 1986. She enjoys  being a certified Medical Assistant, helping and meeting people. Christy is married, a mother of three, and a grandmother of  two.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and her church family.
