Meet the care team

Heather B. Gutwein, MD

Heather B. Gutwein, MD

While growing up in a large rural family, Dr. Gutwein’s early years were spent working on the farm, playing many sports and mothering baby kittens. After graduating from Purdue University in chemistry, she attended Indiana University School of Medicine where she discovered a heart for family medicine. Since completing a residency in family medicine, she has been serving families — from infants to geriatrics — for over 35 years and has come to be known as “Dr. G.” Her love for family extends to her three adult children and two grandchildren, with whom she loves to spend time traveling, boating, sightseeing and reading children’s books. During her free time, Dr. Gutwein enjoys hiking, visiting state and national parks, antiquing, decorating, documentaries and singing in the choir at church. She looks forward to meeting each of you and addressing your healthcare needs.
