Meet the Wellness Center Staff

Bree Simmons, MD

"My path has been winding, but I have never felt so sure about where I want to be; now and for the rest of my career. Wellness medicine feels like to me the purest, most logical form of medicine. It gives me the time and support I need to get to know patients as whole people, and not just a list of diseases or medications or measurements. The Carmel Clay Schools Wellness Center is blessed with a phenomenal clinical team. It is the example that Ascension and CCS have set for truly improving the health of a community. I am excited and honored to join this team."

Dr. Simmons received her Medical Doctorate from Penn State University College of Medicine. She completed her residency in family medicine at St. Vincent Indianapolis and her sports medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University.

Megan VanNatta, MD

“The mission of the CCS Wellness Center really spoke to me as a physician. The opportunity to spend more time with my patients and really focus on health, as opposed to just managing illness, is why I went to medical school. Having access to the many services that the wellness center provides to CCS employees truly helps remove barriers to patients accessing the tools they need to optimize their health and wellness. I am thrilled to be a part of the team.”

Dr. VanNatta received her Medical Doctorate from Indiana University and completed her residency at Loyola University Chicago. She is dual certified in internal medicine and pediatrics. Dr. VanNatta and her husband are natives of Carmel and currently reside there with their two young children.
